Position Overview

Calian is currently hiring a bilingual Junior E-Learning Developer to support the development and creation of training courses for our customer in Kingston, ON (remote role).

Responsibilities
  1. Creating multimedia animation using images, sound, and video, implementation, and evaluation of eLearning courseware.
  2. Using authoring software to assemble eLearning content and publish the course in accordance with the Instructional Design Documents.
  3. Designing and creating interactions that are packaged in rapid eLearning software.
  4. Troubleshooting and resolving online course interactions that are not publishing correctly or reporting correctly to a Learning Management system.
  5. Working with instructional designers to develop the content based on storyboards.
  6. Providing advice on suitable interactions and the limits of certain applications.
  7. Creating reusable online content.
  8. Providing maintenance guide(s) that provide detailed information on maintenance and modifications of eLearning products.
  9. Supporting the development of in-house training materials.
  10. Creating eLearning courses, professional development sessions, pre-instruction packages, and training aids to train Logisticians at Canadian Forces Logistics Training Centre.
  11. Advising on learning technologies to SMEs.
  12. Advising and liaising with clients on improvements to training.
  13. Developing training material in collaboration with instructors, standards staff, and SMEs.
  14. Writing instructions for all development and deliverables.
  15. Developing storyboards as necessary for e-Learning courses.
  16. Researching innovation and creative content delivery.
  17. Multi-media development including graphic design, images, video, and sound.
  18. Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Must be fully bilingual (French and English), AND must meet one of the following profiles (A, B, or C):

  1. A. Must have a minimum of a secondary school diploma AND at least three years of experience in developing eLearning Shareable Content Object Reference Model courses using rapid eLearning tools such as Adobe Captivate, Articulate Storyline, dominKnow Flow/Claro, Lectora Publisher, or equivalent software based in HTML and CSS; and/or web development applications using Java, C language or script language, and secondary programs (file structure) and/or databases.
  2. B. Must have a University degree or College diploma (in a related field of computer sciences, such as computer programming, information technology, information management, multimedia, gaming, animation, or similar specialization) AND at least one (1) year of experience in developing eLearning Shareable Content Object Reference Model courses using rapid eLearning tools such as Adobe Captivate, Articulate Storyline, dominKnow Flow/Claro, Lectora Publisher, or equivalent software based in HTML and CSS; and/or web development applications using Java, C language or script language, and secondary programs (file structure) and/or databases.
  3. C. Must have a University degree or College diploma (in a related field of computer sciences, such as computer programming, information technology, information management, multimedia, gaming, animation, or similar specialization) AND experience in at least three (3) projects in developing eLearning Shareable Content Object Reference Model courses using rapid eLearning tools such as Adobe Captivate, Articulate Storyline, dominKnow Flow/Claro, Lectora Publisher, or equivalent software based in HTML and CSS; and/or web development applications using Java, C language or script language, and secondary programs (file structure) and/or databases.
Additional Requirements

You will be able to obtain a Government Security Clearance at the Reliability level.
