HVAC Service Technician
$45-53/hr, Vancouver, BC

Job Description

Join our team as an HVAC Service Technician and apply your HVAC, refrigeration, and troubleshooting skills to problem solve. You will be responsible for the service, repair, installation, and maintenance of refrigeration and air conditioning systems and their component parts. This role involves reviewing blueprints, building codes, and specifications to determine work details and procedures. Additionally, you will:

  1. Start and commission systems
  2. Test lines to detect leaks
  3. Record the readings
  4. Direct apprentices on the installation of piping systems
  5. Keep records of assignments
  6. Produce detailed work reports
  7. Diagnose malfunctions and fix units by replacing or repairing controls, electric wiring, or other parts

Compliance with industry standards and safety procedures is a must.

Job Requirements
  1. 3+ years of HVAC Service experience within commercial, institutional, or high-rise settings
  2. Ability to get to site
  3. Able to provide a clean driving record
  4. Good communication skills
Work Environment

The role is based in commercial buildings and requires a presentable appearance as you will be around business tenants. Typical shifts start at 7 or 7:30 AM with an 8-hour day, including overtime as required. Some tasks may need to be performed outside of regular business hours to minimize disruptions.
