About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced HVAC Technician to join our team at Daikin Applied. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for performing maintenance and repairs on commercial HVAC equipment, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on commercial HVAC equipment, including chillers, air handlers, and other related systems.
  • Conduct thorough diagnostics and troubleshooting to identify and resolve issues with equipment and systems.
  • Install, replace, and repair equipment and components, including piping, wiring, and controls.
  • Collaborate with customers to understand their needs and provide expert advice on equipment selection and maintenance.
  • Lead and mentor junior technicians to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices, and apply this knowledge to improve our services and processes.
  • Document all work performed, including maintenance records, repair reports, and customer interactions.
  • Communicate effectively with customers, colleagues, and management to ensure seamless service delivery.

Requirements:

  • Associate degree or equivalent in a related field, such as HVAC or mechanical engineering.
  • At least 5 years of experience in commercial HVAC maintenance and repair, with increasing responsibility.
  • Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
  • State license or certifications as required by market.
  • EPA-approved Universal Technician Certification.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in mentoring junior technicians.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software products.
  • Current first aid/CPR certification and OSHA 10 certification.
