JOB SUMMARY

The Senior Rehab Coordinator, under the direction of the Director, is responsible for customer relationships and overall coordination of assigned large customer(s) under Bayshore Therapy and Rehabilitation.  

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

•    Leads assigned contract implementation
•    Maintains and develops relationships with assigned customer(s)
•    Liaises with Managed Care on mutual customers
•    First point of escalation for assigned customer(s)
•    Assists in training, cross-training, coaching, mentoring of Coordinators as assigned by Director
•    Face to face contact for Coordinators located at NDC
•    Covers for Coordinators based upon workload requirements
•    Provides software training and support to Coordinators as applicable 
•    Updates templates and forms as needed for assigned customer(s)
•    Participates in team projects and meetings as requested 
•    Processes referrals from beginning to end using computer software 
•    Documents and maintains tracking system to monitor referrals, tasks, and timelines 
•    Prepares monthly report for assigned customer(s)
•    Reviews, edits, prepares, and submits reports for assigned customer (s) 
•    Handles, screens, and redirects incoming phone calls
•    Makes phone calls to therapists, employees, referral sources, vendors, and payers
•    Handles incoming and outgoing mail and couriers
•    Develops and maintains mailing and email lists and databases
•    Assists with obtaining equipment quotes from vendors
•    Participates in business development as appropriate
•    Provides ongoing support to external business associates, directors, managers, therapists, employees, and clients as directed; maintain confidential business files
•    May provide occasional clinical work in community if applicable (i.e., Kinesiologist/Rehab Assistant). 
•    Completes other tasks as requested.

EXPERIENCE 
Minimum two years of experience as a lead/coordinator/administrative assistant/rehab assistant/kinesiologist, ideally in automobile and/or WSIB insurance systems. 

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES 
Exceptional leadership, customer relations, organizational, efficiency, flexibility, and teamwork skills; proficiency in Windows applications, database management, e-mail and the internet; administrative or executive level writing skills; demonstrated ability to establish priorities, initiate work, problem solve, handle multiple tasks and work independently and as a team member; strong commitment to continual learning; fluency in written and spoken English.

OTHER ASSETS:
1.  Knowledge of Rehab Software, Peoplesoft, Taleo;
2.  Knowledge of Automobile Insurance Sector (SABS), WSIB and Employer market;
3.  Clinical experience in the community.
