Position Summary

We have an exciting opportunity for the UK Digital Lead Engineer, the right person will be responsible for ensuring competent and compliant digital systems management. Working with all factories in the UK Market, the person will be responsible for ensuring a smooth and efficient rollout of new technologies and tools aligned with the Nestlé global business priorities. The role requires a high level of collaboration across functions and categories to ensure compliance and Nestlé standards are followed throughout this process.

A day in the life of the Market Digital Lead

This role reports directly to the Chief Engineer and provides support to the UK market and all of its categories. The main role includes but is not limited to the below:

  1. Support with the training and competency development of people working within the Automation, Digital and Factory Floor IT teams across the UK Market.
  2. Leads the Digital and FFIT Networks with regular meetings to support and promote collaboration between all sites in the Market.
  3. Regular participation with Zone and Global workgroups and/or seminars.
  4. Supports plans and designs for modification and improvements to the Industrial and Automation Controls Systems (IACS) networks, machinery, equipment and Factory IT infrastructure, utilizing own area of competency and specialization or with competent third parties.
  5. Develop and deploy market roadmap for Operations covering Digital initiatives aligned with business objectives ensuring quality and compliance.
  6. Responsible for all Factory Floor IT compliance across the UK factories requiring a high level of collaboration with the Market IT team.
  7. Drives the automation legacy elimination projects to ensure timely migration to globally managed solutions across all UK factories.
  8. Assist with Engineering Functional Compliance audit compliance with both local legal legislation and internal standards (ST-907) for UK Market coordinating regular meetings with all factories.

What will make you successful?

  • Proven track record within Engineering Automation and Digital disciplines alongside a good knowledge of Factory Floor IT systems.
  • Evidence of Influencing and Coaching skills to use within the Market network.
  • Engineering Degree or equivalent.
