About the faculty and department The Master of Data Analytics is an 18-month program that addresses one of the fastest emerging professions in Canada. We offer specializations in Marketing Analytics, Operational and General Analytics. Sessional Instructor Per course rate: $7,200 (paid in installments) The Master of Data Analytics program has the following Sessional Instructional Assistant positions available for the Fall 2024 (October) academic term and invites applications from suitably qualified candidates. October 1 to December 16 DAMO 500: Principles of Analytics (1 opening) DAMO 501: Data Analytics Case Study (1 opening) DAMO 510: Predictive Analytics (1 opening) DAMO 520: Marketing Analytics (1 opening) CPSC 500: SQL Databases (1 opening) CPSC 510: Data Warehousing and Visualization (1 opening) Mode of Delivery: (online, in person, hybrid) Late applications will not be considered. Sessional Instructors will perform the following duties: Attend weekly lecture, review lecture material Lecture and teach students in a variety of delivery modes, creating an inclusive learning environment Invigilate quizzes, tests & exams, complete grading of quizzes, tests, assignments & exams Meet with or respond to students’ inquiries during office hours Update material and grades on internal software The successful candidate will have the following education and experience: Digitally and technologically oriented – comfortable with a variety of technologies and teaching delivery methods Strong academic standing in similar courses and demonstrated expertise in the subject Minimum of a completed Master’s in a related discipline, PhD is preferred Innovative and engaging teaching/communication style Previous teaching experience at the graduate level is a significant asset Related industry experience and expertise to enhance student learning through real life scenarios and case studies Application process Interested candidates are invited to submit an application, using ONE document that includes a cover letter, resume/curriculum vitae (CV) including evidence of teaching experience and scholarly accomplishments, and teaching portfolio (if applicable), as well as the names of three references.
