The compliance with TMCC’s Safety Management Plan as well as any safety policy/procedure is of utmost importance. Protecting all workers at all times has to be your main priority.

Job Duties / Responsibilities – Level C
  • Carries out responsible and varied engineering assignments requiring a general familiarity with a broad field of engineering and knowledge of reciprocal effects of the work upon other fields.
  • Use specialized scheduling software (e.g., P6, Deswik, Sched, MS Project) to manage project timelines and resources.
  • Ability to problem solve with a combination of standard procedures, modification of standard procedures, or methods developed in previous assignments.
  • Position is an office position and may require regular visits to and monitoring of mining and construction project job sites, regional partner offices, vendors/suppliers, and industry-related conferences.
  • The employee is required to visit job sites located on the surface as well as underground (accessed by shafts and/or tunnels) as typical of the mining industry.
  • Monitor and evaluate operations to ensure adherence to safety and environmental regulations.
  • Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to optimize processes and production.
  • Prepare technical reports and presentations for stakeholders.
  • The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and may occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.
Qualifications
  • Engineering or a related bachelor’s degree in engineering.
  • Experience in underground mining is an asset, but not required.
  • Proficiency with scheduling software (e.g. P6, Deswik, Sched, MS Project) is highly desirable.
  • Ability to travel frequently to various sites and countries.
  • Bachelor’s degrees in engineering obtained outside Canada must apply as an International Graduate/Geo-scientist through the Association of Professional Engineers and Geo-scientists of Saskatchewan (APEGS).
  • Registered with an applicable body as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng) or Engineer-In-Training (EIT).
  • 4+ years’ experience.
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD and/or SolidWorks would be an asset.
