Company Overview: Our client, a leading manufacturer of agricultural equipment, is seeking a dedicated Manager of Financial Reporting to oversee all financial reporting functions and budgeting.

Position Summary: In this role, you will lead and supervise the financial and accounting staff, ensuring the preparation of all formal internal and external financial statements while recommending appropriate accounting policies.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Prepare annual audited financial statements.
  2. Compile the Annual Report for shareholders and regulatory authorities.
  3. Create unaudited Quarterly Reports for stakeholders and compliance purposes.
  4. Generate monthly financial statements for management review and internal analysis.
  5. Collaborate with tax preparation firms to complete U.S. and Canadian tax returns for the consolidated group.
  6. Engage with taxation authorities as needed.
  7. Develop and enforce Corporate accounting policies in compliance with IFRS.
  8. Stay updated on current accounting standards and incorporate relevant changes into company policies.
  9. Coordinate with external auditors and the audit committee.
  10. Prepare annual operating budgets and analyze results against budget expectations.
  11. Assess corporate financing needs and provide recommendations to senior management.
  12. Participate in special projects as required.
  13. Support other Corporate departments as needed.
Qualifications:
  1. Post-secondary degree in Business or a related field.
  2. Professional Accounting designation (CPA CA) with active membership in a recognized accounting body.
  3. 5+ years of relevant experience with increasing responsibility.
  4. Proven supervisory experience is essential.
  5. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  6. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  7. Proficiency in computerized accounting systems, with skills in word processing, spreadsheets, databases, and accounting software.
  8. Commitment to confidentiality and professionalism.
  9. Ability to work independently or collaboratively within a team.
  10. Strong multitasking skills and capability to work under pressure.
