What We Are Looking For:
Our growing team is looking for a passionate and motivated Senior Software Engineer in Test to join our Engineering organization. You would be responsible for contributing toward the testing of new and existing features on AXIOM Examine. You will be a strong contributor in our daily testing practices while looking to help lead our overall test strategy. Our testing roles offer a lot of autonomy and ability to drive the testing solutions to push quality to the next level. Through exploratory and automation testing, we are always learning as a team and constantly evolving.
Responsibilities
- Lead efforts to plan, create, and execute automated tests
- Lead efforts to improve test maintainability, reusability, and code quality
- Design and implement testing tools required to execute testing effectively and efficiently
- Maintain existing frameworks and scripts
- Debug complex software systems
- Effectively report quality metrics; investigating regression failures
- Provide technical leadership, without a formal reporting structure, offering recommendations & direction on key decisions for the engineering team and to drive innovation for testing approach
- Contribute to the creation of test strategies together with team and stakeholders
- Comfortable working in a self-guided manner with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently
- Ownership of skill development; staying up to date within your area of expertise.
- Keep up to date with testing trends that could improve our products and/or testing work
- Adapt to changes as they arise from business & customer needs
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a Computer Science related field, or equivalent practical experience
- 8+ years applied experience with Test Automation
- Proficient in C#
- Coding experience with automated testing frameworks
- Experience working in an agile framework
- Aptitude and interest in learning new technologies
- Experience & desire to work in an environment where you have autonomy and can direct the test strategy
- Prioritize team collaboration and success
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Additional assets
- Well versed in AWS services including EC2 & S3 handling as well as AMI setup
- SQLite experience
- Git or version control experience
- Jenkins tooling
- Performance testing and optimization
- Test Studio experience

Salary & Benefits:
- The Salary range is for the primary location for which the job is posted. Please note that the actual salary may vary depending on location and job-related factors such as qualifications, experience, knowledge and skills. Certain sales focused roles may have sales incentive plans based on individual or group sales results.
Salary Range:
- MIN: $107,200 - MID: $134,000 - MAX: $160,800 Currency: CAD
