Job Description

We have an immediate requirement for an Automation and Process Improvement Specialist with a background in automation systems in a manufacturing environment.The successful candidate will be responsible for participating in the design, implementation and maintenance of automated systems, as well as identifying and implementing process improvements to improve the company’s efficiency and productivity. This role requires the individual to participate in multiple high value and time sensitive projects simultaneously with a cross-functional team.

Responsibilities

Work with cross-functional teams from across the company toimprove the efficiency and productivity of the company's manufacturing processes.

  • Participate in the design and implementation of automated systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for automation and continuous improvement.
  • Troubleshoot and coordinate maintenance of automation systems.
  • Coordinate the development of documentation for automation systems.
  • Train staff in the use of automated systems.
  • Lead business process reengineering efforts to streamline operations, including the design and implementation of a warehouse management system.
  • Participate in the redesign or improvement of existing equipment and production lines to maximize efficiency and safety.
  • Analyze plant floor operations and identify opportunities for business process improvement through automation or other means.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or college diploma in engineering, automation, or a related field, or extensive related experience.
  • Experience with automation systems in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience leading multiple projects in a project management role.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Self-motivated, possessing strong leadership, communication and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
