Our client is searching for a highly motivated and experienced System Planning and Engineer Manager to support our Chief Operating Officer with the design and longevity of their distribution system. A successful candidate is an exceptional team player, devoted to safety and is committed to providing an exceptional member service.

The System Planning and Engineer Manager is responsible for:

  1. Developing long term system planning in the best interest of the client.
  2. Participating and leading long term system planning for the client and their various projects.
  3. Coordinating the strategic distribution of these plans.
  4. Developing and maintaining effective relationships with fellow co-workers and members.
  5. Being a part of the planning process for larger projects, collaborating with Project Managers.
  6. Staying organized and maintaining good time management skills.
  7. Managing numerous projects and competing demands.
  8. Overseeing various project services, including inventory management and maintaining materials throughout the project execution phase.
  9. Effectively using Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, PLS-CADD, Park GID or familiar with design/mapping software.

Your strengths include:

  • Registered Professional Engineer, Senior Technologist with 10 years distribution and management experience in the Province of Alberta.
  • Possessing a thorough working knowledge of power transmission and distribution systems.
  • Ability to develop and write effective construction related programs, policies, practices, and procedures.
  • Previous experience in rural power distribution system operations would be an asset.
