Global Solution Architect – Accounting and Operations Service Line | Global Professional Services

We are looking for highly skilled and motivated consultants to join the Global Professional Services team as Solution Architects in the Accounting and Operations Service line. This is a great opportunity to influence SimCorp’s future solutions and engage in strategic initiatives.

This position is open exclusively to current SimCorp employees and professionals with hands-on SimCorp Dimension/SimCorp tooling expertise. We value the unique insights and experience that our internal and ex-SimCorp community brings to the table.

SimCorp Global Professional Services is looking to add additional Solution Architects who are passionate about standardization, delivery efficiency, and our global transition towards services. Through globally standardized solutions and an aligned delivery approach, SimCorp consulting aims at delivering more value to our clients by transitioning from selling and delivering software and services separately to offering a coherent outcome that delivers tangible value to clients.

We foresee significant commercial growth for new PS services as SimCorp One platform opens up new opportunities and SimCorp BPaaS services continue to offer a strong market alternative to conventional service providers. The Global Solution Architect will be instrumental in defining how we turn the opportunity into results, where the development of practices & skills and adoption of standard delivery methods by consultants will be key to business growth. Product Development is an important stakeholder, and the Global Solution Architect must collaborate closely with the relevant product managers to ensure efficient communication about trends, tools, and practices.

The Global Practice Lead for the Accounting & Operations Solution Architect team is looking for candidates who can join our existing team of Solution Architects working with the build-out of BPaaS, along with the specific business processes and global artifacts within the Service Line, as well as working with our clients across their value chain including Target Operating Model and Target Architecture. Our new Solution Architects must have solid experience within the scope of the Accounting & Operations Service Line and the consulting skills needed to be a trusted advisor for our internal and external clients.

This is a global position, and the location of employment can be at several SimCorp offices around the world. Willingness to travel internationally will be required based on where SimCorp’s customers are located globally, although most of the engagements are virtual now. The Solution Architects report into the Global Practice Lead.

What you will be responsible for

Standardization

• Spearhead the global standardization and the re-use of solutions globally including Standard Platform, Complete Offers, Project Artifacts, and the SimCorp Business Process Model.

• Co-Own the design of standard solutions with the Global Standard Product Owner, and work on complete offers in collaboration with other Solution Architects and Product Management.

• Spearhead global initiatives and the adoption of standards and new offers within our consulting community.

Solution Advisory

• Advise the SimCorp BPaaS organization on best practices and how to best leverage SimCorp Dimension to deliver the BPaaS service.

• Support project teams through guidance and quality assurance on solution designs in implementation projects, and collaborate closely with project Solution Owners as end-to-end Solution Architect on selected projects.

• Ensure that SimCorp clients achieve the full business value from implementing our investment solutions.

• Engage in strategic sales cases in an advisory role.

Knowledge Management

• Contribute to the advancement of project best practice within the Service Line based on the global delivery model and know-how of consultants.

• Ensure all the necessary collateral is in place to support our Compass delivery methodology and champion this in our organization.

• Collaborate and align among Solution Architects to ensure a common global approach to solutions and methodologies.

• Support creation of education material and share knowledge with Education Services, Value Advisory, Go-to Market, and Value Services.

• Relevant degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, or a relevant Business degree.

• At least 5+ years of proven experience designing and implementing SimCorp Dimension solutions.

• Deep business knowledge within Investment Accounting and/or Investment Operations.

• Understanding of our clients’ general business processes and operating model.

• International experience and global mindset.

• Have been involved in several SimCorp Dimension implementations from the early stages of the project.

• Ability to build relationships, drive discussions, and impact stakeholders when required.

• Engagement in partnering with various parts of the SimCorp organization.

• Proactiveness, creativeness, and commercial mindedness with a global perspective.

• Proficiency in English.
