We are looking for a highly motivated and energetic individual to join our team as a Reliability Engineer (12 months project) in North York, an on-site position.

Responsibilities:
  1. Apply Reliability principles for reduced down-time and failure elimination.
  2. Support Lead Investigators and Production Compliance with Investigations (Deviations, CAPAs, Training).
  3. Work with Project Engineering to ensure reliability and maintenance of new & modified installations.
  4. Review adherence to life cycle asset management principles, providing input on new equipment selection, defining spare parts requirements, communicating expectations, participating in final check-out of new installations.
  5. Define Reliability related training requirements and supporting development of Engineering/Maintenance Standards.
  6. Deploy systems (risk mitigation & predictive) for effective strategies on new and existing equipment.
  7. Develop, implement, and manage Predictive Maintenance programs to improve equipment reliability and performance.
  8. Manage obsolescence through risk analysis reports for production and identification of functional equivalency parts.
  9. Support Building Shutdowns, through proactive review of production task lists, associated parts of the task and correct them as required for smooth execution.
  10. Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and maintain good documentation practices to track all work history and improve data analysis.
  11. Educate/train the department on the value of building accurate equipment histories for trending purposes & reliability improvement.
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Instrumentation, Electrical, Mechanical or Chemical Engineering.
5+ years of previous relevant experience in manufacturing, maintenance, and engineering environments; including two (2) or more working with maintenance personnel in a Reliability Engineering role in the pharmaceutical industry.
Strong understanding of all trades, current Maintenance best practices, Reliability tools and processes, GMP/GLP, and common issues addressed by Maintenance.
In-depth understanding in Industry Lean / Six Sigma / TPM methodology.
Demonstrated ability to pro-actively, and cooperatively work with cross functional teams.
Professional Engineer of Ontario (P. Eng) is an asset.
Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional (CMRP) certification is an asset.
