Description:
Make a significant impact by minimizing critical equipment downtime and maximizing uptime while optimizing asset lifecycle costs.

Responsibilities:

  • Prioritize assets to reduce costs and failure frequency.
  • Develop and optimize maintenance strategies for critical assets.
  • Monitor equipment KPIs like Availability, Reliability, MTBF, MTTR, Cost/hr, etc.
  • Identify top reasons for process downtime and develop mitigation plans.
  • Lead root cause analysis workshops and drive corrective actions.
  • Assess criticality and develop effective maintenance strategies.
  • Evaluate risks associated with equipment modifications.
  • Optimize maintenance using Reliability Centered Maintenance principles.
  • Define major component benchmarks and identify costsaving opportunities.
  • Identify critical spares and optimize inventory levels.
  • Enhance Standard Work Procedures for common jobs and maintenance tasks.
  • Manage downtime data integrity and ensure quality for reliability analysis.
  • Code downtime events properly using asset hierarchy and failure codes.
  • Analyze failure reports from rebuild shops and equipment OEMs to prevent repeat failures.
  • Lead the development of predictive maintenance programs utilizing advanced technologies.
  • Ensure compliance with regulations for various equipment integrity programs.
  • Generate Power BI reports to track equipment KPIs such as Availability, Cost, MTBF, etc.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Eligibility for Professional Engineer registration in Ontario.
  • High competency in Reliability Centered Maintenance methodology.
  • Experience with enterprise asset management systems, preferably SAP.
  • Proficient in conducting failure analysis and leading investigation workshops.
  • Familiarity with condition monitoring techniques like oil analysis, vibration analysis, thermography, etc.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong prioritization, critical thinking, risk management, and strategic planning abilities.
  • Ability to drive positive reliability culture change.
  • Experience with software such as SAP, Power BI, MS Office, and MS Project.
