Reporting to the President, the VP Operations for Canteen will be an integral part of the Canteen Leadership team and is responsible for achieving the revenue, profit and growth objectives for the Sector by providing strategic leadership, direction and support. This leader will drive the best retail experience for our consumers in higher education, business & manufacturing, healthcare, and our other sectors.

Now, if you were to come on board as a Vice President, Operations, we’d ask you to do the following for us:

  • Create and execute comprehensive strategic annual operational plans that align with the company’s vision and business goals
  • Assist with increasing Sector revenue and profitability by developing budget forecasts and operations plans, assessing, and analyzing operation capabilities and ensure adherence to budget
  • Build a positive, inclusive, and engaging workplace culture by motivating and leading through a servant-leader approach, including attracting, developing and retaining high performing associates/teams; developing succession plans; and providing a safe and supportive work environment
  • Oversee core operations to ensure efficiency, quality, service and cost effectiveness including setting standards and communicating goals, expectations and objectives to operations
  • Grow existing and new business in the Sector by implementing and supporting new business strategies in collaboration with Canteen support functions
  • Provide leadership, direction and support to multiple teams including the Core Canteen Operations team and applicable support teams in attaining financial and operational goals

  • You are a seasoned and experienced leader within consumer package goods or consumer retailing with a passion for extending the last-mile delivery with a vision for retail & merchandising excellence
  • You thrive in a constantly changing environment and desire to solve complex challenges
  • Your strong analytical and problem-solving abilities enable you to leverage data metrics to drive business growth, to manage and mentor teams, and to foster a collaborative and innovative environment
  • You demonstrate leadership abilities, including inspiring and motivating cross-functional teams and project management skills
  • University degree with preference for MBA or related Master’s program
  • Minimum of 10 years of leadership in the area of Operations, showing strong engagement and retention in a high volume multi-account management sector, including both unionized and non-unionized environments
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Expert in Windows based office software
  • Bilingual in French and English is preferred
