STORE MANAGER POSITION

From high-design spaces, provocative imagery, innovative marketing campaigns, to our science-driven products - everything we do is created with the intention to inspire those that it comes into contact with, in some way, shape, or form. At COPS, we are not a doughnut shop. We don’t play by those rules. We are a global creative studio that sells amazing doughnuts. We’re forging a new path in a unique category that blends fashion, art, and design with hospitality because the world doesn’t need another doughnut shop, but an incubator of inspiration on the other hand, is a different story.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily operations to ensure consistent and effective service in accordance with COPS standards.
  • Enforce on-site health and safety protocols.
  • Maintain product consistency and service quality through established processes.
  • Train team members on glazing, packaging, and FOH/BOH etiquette.
  • Conduct onboarding following the prescribed plan and ensure completion of Trainual training modules.
  • Provide continuous training and corrective guidance to ensure adherence to operational procedures.
  • Schedule regular check-ins with new hires and existing team members to ensure alignment with COPS values.
  • Ensure proper recording of doughnut logs for product consistency.
  • Communicate company policies and ensure compliance at the ground level.
  • Manage conflicts and disciplinary issues, escalating when necessary.
  • Maintain store-wide health and safety procedures and oversee inventory management.
  • Coordinate with HR for improvement plans and performance evaluations.
  • Lead discussions on promotions, pay adjustments, and post-probation evaluations.
  • Manage in-store collateral and equipment maintenance.
  • Handle scheduling, including adjustments and emergency coverage.
  • Educate team on coffee blends and promote coffee sales.
  • Identify areas for improvement and implement plans under Area Manager guidance.
  • Manage menu updates and inform HR of termination matters.
  • Train staff to meet operational standards and resolve customer concerns effectively.
  • Establish rapport with customers to understand service requirements.
  • Maintain inventory through purchasing plans and vendor communication.
  • Ensure a safe and clean store environment.

Skill Requirements:

  • 1-3 years of management experience in hospitality, restaurant, or retail.
  • Business or hospitality management education preferred.
  • Strong people skills and talent development abilities.
  • Ability to travel with reliable transportation and valid driver's license.
  • Proficiency in word processing, spreadsheet, and email software.
  • Basic math and written skills.
  • Delegation and progress monitoring skills.
