Job Purposes:

As a DaaS Senior Consultant (also referred to as Cloud Services Senior Consultant), your expertise will be critical in managing real-time data and cloud applications, with a special focus on Microsoft Azure. Your role will be to utilize your specialized knowledge to address customer challenges and inquiries, proposing effective solutions.

Building and maintaining relationships with customers will be a key part of your role, with an emphasis on the technical aspects of our services. You’ll be a bridge between customers and our services, ensuring clear and effective communication.

Your responsibilities will include managing cloud platforms and infrastructure through code, implementing automation, optimizing logging and monitoring, and enhancing the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of our services. Ultimately, your objective is to deliver a smooth and efficient service experience for all our customers. Your role is pivotal in ensuring customer satisfaction and service excellence.

Key tasks:

  • Analyze client operations and business processes to document and propose efficiencies. Document "as is" and "to be" processes and describe the changes required to migrate to the "to be" capability to record accurately the change required.
  • Propose solutions based to solve problems, improve performance, and reduce costs for the customer.
    • Identify system data, hardware, or software components required to meet customer needs.
    • Monitor system operation to detect potential problems.
  • Design the system architecture, size the systems, help Sales estimate costs, and implement the solution from Blueprint, Configuration, Testing and Training through post-implementation support.
  • Provide On-Call support.
  • Provide fault diagnosis, isolation and correction for complex challenges to limit, address and resolve issues promptly.
  • During service interactions, look for opportunities to bridge internal/external customer needs to additional products/services offered by the organization.
  • Provide a high degree of technical competency and knowledge to the project in accordance with KBC standards and best practices.
  • Complete implementation work/tasks for the project as assigned.
  • Collaborate with the implementation, support and project consultant team in an onshore/offshore model.
  • Raise issues to Team Lead as appropriate to address quality/scope/schedule.
  • Discuss and recommend technical developments to improve quality of the applications/portal software and supporting infrastructure to better meet users’ needs.
  • Identify requests for KBC SME interactions.
  • Maintain and renew a deep knowledge and understanding of the organization's policies and procedures and of relevant regulatory codes and codes of conduct, and ensure own work adheres to required standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Innovation Implementation and Pipeline Management - Develop complex innovations of critical products or services, running pilots and testing through fast-paced project launches, managing project schedules, identifying risks, and communicating to project stakeholders and external partners.
  • Project Management - Manage a portfolio of projects while reporting to senior colleagues.
  • Project Planning - Produce workstream or project plans, ensuring that all activities are identified, are appropriately organized to deliver project objectives, and comply with the organization's project management framework.
  • Digital Strategy/Transformational Projects Execution - Execute and deliver elements of the digital road map, leveraging agile and design-thinking principles to drive sustainable implementation.
  • Databases Installation - Install and test complex databases and associated products to ensure they are suitable for use and meet customer requirements.
  • Analysis of "As Is" and "To Be" - Document "as is" and "to be" processes and describe the changes required to migrate to the "to be" capability to record accurately the change required.
  • Work Scheduling and Allocation - Develop short- or medium-term work schedules in order to achieve planned commitments. Maintain project hours and resources as needed.
  • Operational Compliance - Maintain and renew a deep knowledge and understanding of the organization's policies and procedures and of relevant regulatory codes and codes of conduct, and ensure own work adheres to required standards.
  • Digital Vision and Strategy - Support strategy formulation for digital by exploring how information technology can be used to help the organization become more responsive to customer needs and changing business requirements.
  • Digital Talent Development - Develop and design content for training and development programs in digital to fill gaps in established programs; contribute customized training and development programs in digital as requested.

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field, or Equivalent Level

General Experience:

  • Experience with AzureCloud Services
  • Experience with Relational Databases or time-series data.
  • Experience with a development language (Preferably: Python, NodeJS, PowerShell, and or C#)
  • Experience with OSIsoft’s PI System and applications of their product suite.
  • Knowledge of Industrial Internet of Things (IIOT)
  • Networking experience, troubleshooting LAN/WAN.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code. (Terraform/Ansible)
  • Be capable of proposing or building prototype systems to demonstrate solutions.
  • Able to plan, organize and control work for self and any direct reports.
  • Excellent writing skills.
  • Ability to manage projects or programs.
  • Ability to communicate directly with customer about complex technical issues, difficult project situations.
  • Ability to advise, to consult, to defend their professional “point of view".
  • Basic experience of coordinating project work for others (4 to 6 month projects)
