This is an internal support position which requires versatility, attention to detail, a strong sense of urgency and troubleshooting skills. You'll wear lots of hats and gain plenty of valuable experience.

This position offers a hybrid work model, with three days in the office and two days working from home, allowing for flexibility and work-life balance. Our office is located in downtown Vancouver.

What You’ll Do:

  • Lead the day-to-day operations of the IT department. Provide support (L2, L3) for application, IT, and security requests and incidents, both virtually and onsite.
  • Manage and execute IT project delivery, encompassing M&A, integrations, automations, deployments, and compliance
  • Own and manage operational processes, including multi-level support for IT services, application technical support, and cloud SaaS
  • Manage IT assets throughout their lifecycle, including procurement, deployment, utilization tracking, and disposal.
  • Integrate applications and systems with Google Identity for seamless single sign-on experiences. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to SSO integrations.
  • Manage technical vendor relationships and vendor escalations.
  • Define and maintain enterprise architecture standards, ensuring alignment with business goals and scalability.
  • Provide routine after-hours maintenance and emergency support as needed to ensure system availability.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards, including GDPR, HIPAA, SOC 2, and ISO 27001.

You’ll Need to Have:

  • Bachelor's degree in related IT field or 5 years of relevant work experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience providing corporate-wide end-user deskside support.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience with configuring & troubleshooting Mac OS & Windows devices.
  • Working knowledge of MDM tools (Intune, Kandji/Jamf, Hexnode, etc).
  • Good understanding of internet technologies, networking, DNS, mail distribution, VPN, and DHCP.
  • Solid understanding of infrastructure architecture, networking, virtualization, identity, security and storage.
  • Experience with upgrading systems and applications, patch management, performance tuning, monitoring, alerting and disaster recovery.
  • Good understanding of network components switches, routers, firewalls, VPN tunnels and configuration of end user devices and wireless access points.
  • Capacity for regular multitasking with the ability to set priorities effectively.

We’d Love to See:

  • Over 5 years of IT experience, with expertise in Security and Application support
  • Proficient in Google Workspace, Endpoint Security System, MDM Solution, Cloud Infrastructure, Identity Platform, Git, Jira, and MacOS
  • Tell us how you would reduce shadow IT
  • Extensive experience in incident management, request management, and troubleshooting distributed systems
  • Ability to work independently with minimum supervision. This includes working with remote team members.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate ideas to technical and non-technical audiences in both written and verbal formats.
  • Experience in the start up space working in ambiguous environments
