Job Overview:

As a Civil Construction Labourer / Traffic Flagging Attendant, you will be an integral part of our construction team, ensuring the safety and smooth execution of our projects. Your role will involve a variety of tasks including physical labor, site preparation, equipment maintenance, and traffic control duties.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation and clean-up of construction sites, ensuring a safe and hazard-free environment
  • Perform various tasks involving physical labor for construction projects
  • Operate and care for construction equipment and machines
  • Help equipment operators, carpenters, and other skilled labor when necessary
  • Prep construction sites by cleaning obstacles and hazards
  • Direct traffic near, in, and around work zones and construction sites to ensure the safety of workers, pedestrians, and motorists
  • Set up and take down traffic control devices and signs according to regulatory standards
  • Communicate effectively with team members and follow written and oral instructions
  • Adhere to company policies and safety standards at all times

Requirements:

  • Must possess a valid Class 5 Driver's License
  • Ability to pass a drug and alcohol fit test as part of the pre-employment screening process
  • Previous experience in civil construction or traffic flagging is preferred but not mandatory
  • Strong physical condition and endurance to perform manual labor in various weather conditions
  • Excellent awareness and commitment to safety protocols
  • Effective communication skills for coordinating with team members and ensuring the safety of all parties in work zones
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as required by project demands
