McGill St Laurent est une compagnie montréalaise de trading de commodités active dans les produits forestiers, agricoles et d’énergie. Ayant connu une forte croissance au cours des dernières années, nous sommes à la recherche d’un analyste financier pour repenser nos façons de faire et intégrer les meilleures solutions technologiques à nos processus. La personne idéale possède de 2-3 ans d'expérience, de solides connaissances financières, un esprit entrepreneurial et une grande curiosité pour les nouvelles technologies.

Responsabilités:

  • Comprendre et documenter de façon claire les processus d’affaires de l’entreprise, ainsi que les interactions entre les systèmes et les bases de données.
  • Identifier des projets d’amélioration, et travailler directement avec le chef des finances sur l’élaboration et le suivi de la feuille de route de transformation.
  • Collaborer avec l’équipe de développeurs pour concevoir et implémenter les solutions.
  • Fournir une formation et un soutien aux équipes pour assurer l'adoption réussie de nouveaux processus, systèmes et outils.
  • Contribuer à l’optimisation et au développement de rapports et tableaux de bord.
  • Travailler sur des projets de transformation très diversifiés, tels que la migration d’ERP, l’élaboration d’un entrepôt de données, l’intégration d’acquisitions, le développement d’outils d’OCR, l’optimisation du processus de fin de mois, les outils de gestion de la trésorerie, etc.).
  • Cultiver d’excellentes relations avec les diverses parties prenantes (haute direction, comptabilité, traders, gestion de risque, talent, etc.).

Qui recherchons-nous ?
  • Tu possèdes un baccalauréat en administration (finance, comptabilité ou domaine connexe).
  • Tu possèdes d’excellentes connaissances en comptabilité. Détenir le titre de CPA/CFA est un atout.
  • Tu as une expérience antérieure en analyse d’affaires, en consultation, ou tu as déjà participé à un projet de transformation comptable.
  • Tu es curieux d’en apprendre davantage sur les activités de McGill St Laurent et désireux de faire avancer les choses.
  • Tu es passionné par les données et tu as des compétences de base en SQL/Python.
  • Avoir de l’expérience avec SAP et/ou Tableau est un atout.

McGill St Laurent is a Montreal-based commodity trading company active in forestry, agricultural and energy products. Having experienced strong growth over the last few years, we are looking for an Financial Analyst to rethink the way we do business and integrate the best technological solutions into our processes. The ideal candidate will have 2-3 years of experience, solid financial knowledge, an entrepreneurial spirit and a keen curiosity for new technologies.

Responsibilities :

  • Understand and clearly document the company's business processes, as well as the interactions between systems and databases.
  • Identify improvement projects, and work directly with the head of finance on the development and monitoring of the transformation roadmap.
  • Collaborate with the development team to design and implement solutions.
  • Provide training and support to ensure successful adoption of new processes, systems and tools.
  • Contribute to the optimization and development of reports and dashboards.
  • Work on a wide variety of transformation projects, such as ERP migration, data warehouse development, M&A integration, OCR tool development, month-end process optimization, cash management tools, etc.).
  • Cultivate excellent relationships with various stakeholders (senior management, accounting, traders, risk management, talent, etc.).


Who are we looking for?

  • You have a bachelor's degree in administration (finance, accounting or related field).
  • You have excellent accounting skills. CPA/CFA designation is an asset.
  • You have previous experience in business analysis or consulting, or you have been involved in an accounting transformation project.
  • You're curious to learn more about McGill St Laurent's business and eager to get things done.
  • You are passionate about data and have basic SQL/Python skills.
  • Experience with SAP and/or Tableau is an asset.
