Irving Shipbuilding Inc. is seeking a  Supplier Auditor .

This is a permanent full-time role based in Halifax Regional Municipality, Nova Scotia. Qualifications:

· Education: University Degree in a relevant field (science, engineering, etc.)

o ASQ – Certified Quality Auditor or equivalent

o Certificate in ISO auditing or equivalent

· Experience: 5+ years of proven experience in auditing of shipbuilding, manufacturing, automotive, aerospace, oil and gas, etc.

· Strong knowledge of ISO 9001:2015, AS 9100 or equivalent Quality Management Systems

· In-depth knowledge of shipbuilding materials, processes, and industry standards would be an asset.

· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with internal teams and external suppliers.

· Ability to travel to supplier locations for on-site audits .

All successful applicants must meet requirements for Canadian Controlled Goods Program (CGP), Canadian Government Security clearance, and U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). 

Key Responsibilities:

· Conduct comprehensive audits of supplier facilities.

· Evaluate supplier documentation to ensure compliance with project specifications and regulatory requirements.

· Collaborate with internal teams to identify critical components and materials, establishing audit criteria accordingly.

· Provide timely and detailed audit reports, outlining findings, non-conformities, and recommendations for corrective actions.

· Work closely with suppliers to address non-conformities, implement corrective actions, and ensure continuous improvement in quality processes.
