Being a Customer Care Advisor in Investments, you will contribute to the overall success of the Specialized Wealth Management Department in Canada by ensuring specific individual goals, plans, and initiatives are executed/delivered in support of the team’s business strategies and objectives. You will ensure all activities conducted are in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies, and procedures.
Is this role right for you? In this role you will:
- Make outbound calls to our existing customers regarding their investment accounts and provide high-level customer service.
- Champion a customer-focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems, and knowledge.
- Develop and maintain a detailed knowledge base and understanding of assigned products, services, and the various digital channels customers may choose to bank.
- Accurately resolve customer problems falling within approved authority limits or refer the customer to the appropriate source as described in the Bank’s Complaint Resolution Standards and Procedures.
- Recognize and act on opportunities for business retention and reinforce the customer relationship with the Bank through the application of the Customer Experience Model.
- Develop effective questioning skills conducive to gathering customer information accurately and comprehensively. This includes asking probing questions and listening to ensure efficient call handling and call resolution.
Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? We'd love to work with you if you have:
- In the process of obtaining or intending to obtain their CSC (Canadian Securities Course), IFIC (Investment Funds Institute of Canada), and IFSE.
- Knowledge of the regulations and standards governing the mutual fund industry, including policies specific to Scotia Securities Inc. (SSI) and the Mutual Fund Dealers Association (MFDA), considered an asset.
- Previous experience working in a customer service role or sales role.
- Strong communication, active listening, and experience working in a fast-paced results-focused environment.
- Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent.

- Hours of work: Tuesday-Friday 1pm-9pm and Saturday 10am-6pm
- Expectation to become fully licensed/accredited Mutual Fund Professional.
