Our Product Intelligence team aims to support clients and feature monitoring to prompt data-driven decisions across the company through scalable analytical environments. As a Business Intelligence Developer intern, you will learn from your teams’ extensive knowledge in software development as well as Coveo’s products and processes. In turn you will help by building dashboards and analyzing metrics useful for our customers.

What Your Typical Day Would Look Like

  • Your day kickoffs with a team call (scrum) where you share updates on your day’s priority and yesterday’s accomplishments. You share the trends and metrics you’ve noticed in the Commerce LOB.
  • After the call, you meet with a few colleagues to discuss metrics, present your analysis and the creation of appealing dashboards for our customers.
  • Next you get to work on building a dashboard for our Customer Success team based on our product analytics database.
  • After lunch, you take some time to review the request that you have received from the various internal stakeholders you support. You help point them in the right direction and follow up with a particular case to better understand the scope of what they’re asking.
  • You work on the database design, ensuring you have the correct table and fields set up to properly convey the data.
  • Before the end of the day, your coach booked time with you to ensure that everything is running smoothly. Together you both review the technical challenges you encountered with Snowflake and discuss the measures to undertake in order to overcome them.

Here’s What Will Qualify You For The Role

  • You are currently studying in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related program.
  • You have completed an internship and you have a strong interest in data engineering or data analytics.
  • You’re passionate about data analysis and insights and are looking to become a master of SQL and Snowflake.
  • You’re passionate about data visualization, you’re always learning, and you’re keeping up with current trends.
  • You’re curious to learn about business metrics and their importance within an organization.
  • You’re proud of what you create, you strive for self-improvement, and you’re disciplined.

Here’s What Will Make You Stand Out

  • You have experience in data modelization (DBT) and with Python.
  • You aren’t afraid to ask the right questions to get a thorough understanding of your tasks; knowing that you don’t know everything is very important to your success.
  • You’re willing to take initiatives and work independently; seize the freedom offered to you and have fun
  • You have strong organizational and time management skills, which you use to find meaningful solutions.
