We have an exciting opportunity available – We are seeking a Permanent Full Time skilled and experienced Shop Manager to join our team in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our automotive repair shop. Your role will involve supervising mechanics, ensuring quality workmanship and maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.

Specific duties include but are not limited to:

  1. Supervise and coordinate the activities of mechanics in the shop and operators in the yard.
  2. Service and repair Wright Construction vehicles and equipment.
  3. Communicate and manage costs with sublet repair shops and parts suppliers, issue POs for repair parts and submit POs to the office as required.
  4. Assign work orders and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
  5. Adhere to all safety regulations and promote a safe working environment.
  6. Other duties as required.

To be successful in this role, you possess:

  1. Prior experience as a shop manager or similar managerial role is preferred.
  2. Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  3. Knowledge of the Construction Industry is an asset

Personal Attributes:

  1. Strong mechanical knowledge and experience in automotive repair.
  2. Proficient with hand tools and power tools.
  3. Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues.
  4. Must be able to work well within a team setting and contribute to team success
  5. Be able to efficiently carry out tasks with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
  6. Exemplifies core values of honesty, integrity, and respect
  7. Self-motivated and shows initiative to identify process improvements
  8. Demonstrate a strong work ethic and enthusiasm
  9. Takes accountability for their roles and responsibilities
  10. Must have excellent time management skills
