In Your Role, You Will
  1. Ensure design solutions meet stress performance specifications, applicable airworthiness regulations, and industry best practices.
  2. Review dispositions of production support engineering and substantiate repairs to demonstrate required stress performance, and compliance with applicable airworthiness regulations.
  3. Execute intermediate to complex Stress engineering assignments requiring familiarity with several fields of engineering.
  4. Identify and report on defects and deficiencies in work done by others.
  5. Prepare progress reports.
  6. Recommend changes in plans and specifications to suit special conditions.
  7. Generate documentation for approval by others.
  8. Review sections of documents prepared by others and recommend approval.
  9. Perform various stress analyses and have good knowledge of static strength, fatigue, damage tolerance, and finite element model (FEM) analysis for composite and/or metallic structures.
  10. Identify design risks and weight reduction opportunities.
¿Qué Necesitas para Cubrir Este Rol? Habilidades, Conocimientos y Experiencia
  1. Holds an Aerospace or Mechanical engineering degree (Bachelor or Master) with a strong focus on Mechanics of Materials and Structural Analysis.
  2. Has 5 to 8 years of experience in structural analysis.
  3. Works autonomously with initiative and proactivity.
  4. Has functional knowledge of:
    1. Metallic and composite material properties.
    2. Static strength requirements of aeronautical metallic structure.
    3. Composite classical laminate theory and composite failure analysis.
    4. Finite Element Analysis principles and associated tools.
    5. Fatigue requirements of aeronautical metallic structure.
    6. Aeronautical certification requirements.
  5. Has sustained hands-on experience in:
    1. FEM analysis.
    2. Structural analysis using classical hand calculation.
    3. Composite structure analysis.
    4. Metallic structure fatigue analysis.
    5. Structure sizing and certification.
    6. Repair sizing & justification.
  6. Is proficient with Microsoft Office Tools.
  7. Has strong communication skills in English (written, spoken).
  8. Is a team player and can demonstrate good organizational skills.
  9. Has personal initiative and is creative in finding ways to resolve problems.
