Job Title: Forklift Operator

We are now hiring a permanent Forklift Operator in Windsor, ON. Interested candidates should have the following skills and experience:

  1. Ability to work from 8am to 4pm Monday to Friday with alternating on call
  2. Minimum of one year Forklift experience
  3. Must be a resident of Canada for a minimum of 5 years
  4. Previous warehousing experience an asset
  5. Ability to load and unload a variety of goods/cargo from transportation shipping containers
  6. Ability to pick or pull cargo from warehouse and prepare it for safe transport
  7. Ability to communicate with coworkers to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the warehouse
  8. Ability to lift up to 40lbs
  9. A positive and open personality with a “Can-Do” attitude
  10. Demonstrated ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide
  11. Great work ethic – a person who takes pride in being reliable, committed and dependable
  12. Must be able to pass a reliability clearance

Responsibilities:
- Safely and efficiently operate a forklift to move, stack, and retrieve materials
- Load and unload trucks, containers, and pallets
- Inspect and maintain the forklift equipment
- Follow safety guidelines and protocols at all times
- Keep accurate records of inventory and materials movement
- Process payments through a POS system
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations

Experience:
- Previous experience operating a forklift in a warehouse or industrial setting
- Valid forklift certification or license
- Knowledge of safety procedures and protocols for operating a forklift
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in inventory management
