Pilon Tool Rentals (1972) Ltd, a locally owned and operated Garden & Equipment Rental company based in Courtenay, is seeking a dedicated Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our team. As a key member of our finance department, you will play a crucial role in managing accounts receivable processes and ensuring the financial health of our organization.

Duties:

  1. Process accounts receivable transactions promptly and accurately.
  2. Perform account reconciliations to ensure all payments are accounted for.
  3. Utilize software including Sage, Excel & Outlook.
  4. Analyze financial information to identify discrepancies and resolve issues efficiently.
  5. Collaborate with internal teams to address customer inquiries and resolve payment discrepancies.
  6. Assist in month-end closing activities by preparing reports and reconciling accounts.
  7. Maintain organized records of transactions and customer interactions for audit purposes.
  8. Contribute to the improvement of accounts receivable procedures and policies.
  9. Back up Accounts Payable.

Requirements:

  1. Proficiency in math and accounting principles.
  2. Previous experience as an Accounts Receivable Clerk or similar role.
  3. Familiarity with Accounts Receivable processes and best practices.
  4. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and analysis.
  5. Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with customers and internal teams.
  6. Capability to prioritize tasks effectively.

Benefits: Casual dress, flexible hours, and Medical & Dental after 3 months (50/50 employee/employer).

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00-$30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
