What you’ll do: 

Supporting the Director, Corporate Accounting, this role will:

  • Provide input and support the development, implementation, sustainment, and continual improvement of the JDE capital management system.
  • Lead the collaboration between the Corporate Accounting and Finance departments and provide support and coordination for Fixed Assets and the RFE process.
  • Establish and maintain strong working relationships with a variety of internal and external professionals. This includes supporting the Senior Specialist, Financial Reporting & Senior Project Accountant, Innovation throughout the year, with focus at year end and budget time.
  • Ensure that exposure to risks and liability is mitigated by ensuring compliance with fixed asset governance, along with relevant legislation, accounting standards and corporate policies and procedures.
  • Provide leadership and oversight to the Fixed Asset Analyst, specifically through year end and budget processes to ensure financial statements are presented in accordance with IFRS. This also includes onboarding/off boarding, training, performance management and development of the core financial reporting competencies for CPA designation for the Analyst.

Who you’ll work with:

The Team: You will work closely with the Corporate Accounting team and you will have 2 direct reports,and will report to the Director, Corporate Accounting. This team strives to cultivate a culture of collaboration and providing expertise advice and guidance the business units. 

The Collaborators: You will work closely with other functions in ourFinance business unit and collaborate with teams across the organization.

Who you are:

You are looking for a career in Finance and:

  • Have 6-9 years relevant experience
  • Have a Degree in Business with Accounting Major (a combination of relevant education and experience may be considered)
  • Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation is required
  • Are familiar with financial reporting and fixed asset/capital management
