Millwright/Industrial Mechanic

Duties and Responsibilities- Perform all duties as outlined by the Provincial Government in accordance with Regulated Trade 433A Industrial Mechanic Millwright.
- Possess all hand tools common to the trade.
- Conduct preventive maintenance on welders, weld fixtures, and all other equipment in the facility.
- Read, interpret, and use micrometers, verniers, etc.
- Operate machine tools like lathes, mills, grinders, and drills.
- Have a working knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, and air logic controls.
- Capable of determining causes of breakdowns and establishing remedies.
- Perform troubleshooting on automatic lube systems.
- Remove broken equipment pieces and repair by welding or replacing parts.
- Complete overhauls and major repairs on plant machinery and equipment.
- Capable of dismantling, marking, and identifying component parts for moving or shipping.
- Perform welding functions and brazing.
- Follow instructions manuals, blueprints, and drawings for equipment installation.
- Ensure workplace safety in compliance with regulations.
Must hold a valid Ontario License Certificate of Qualification or have relevant practical experience. Certified Lift Truck Driver and Health and Safety related training are required. This position is suitable for individuals who are results-focused and take charge.
