We have a new opportunity within Trewithen Dairy, we are recruiting for a Head of Supply Chain, with overall responsibility of the Transport and Despatch departments within the business.

We are now recruiting a Head of Supply Chain, with overall responsibility of the Transport and Despatch departments within the business. Key Responsibilities
  • Leading and developing the Logistics teams, to create a resilient team for future growth, by developing their people skills alongside building a continuous improvement culture within the departments
  • Interacting with Planning to ensure customer orders are delivered on time and in full
  • Working cross functionally and collaboratively with other senior managers on tasks and initiatives which can boost performance and standards
  • Maintaining financial controls; in particular workforce costs, fuel, equipment, maintenance and wastage
  • Ensuring that the site operates to high standards of health and safety at all times
  • Building a ‘right first time’ ethos within the team, by developing processes and training that deliver consistency of work
  • Negotiate with 3PL suppliers to ensure our requirements are in line with our customer expectations, cost, service and quality
  • Embedding IT and computer systems in day to day to working, to build an efficient process flow of information from order to invoice.
  • Proactively contributing to the wider strategic goals of the overall business.
Qualifications & Skills
  • A Head of Supply Chain in FMCG, ideally food
  • Someone with strong leadership skills and able to demonstrate developing and building high-performing cross functional teams
  • Used to managing supply planning, customer services and, inbound and outbound logistics
  • Proven in the development of teams, building engagement and performance
  • Very data literate, and comfortable developing dashboard reporting
  • Used to working with a senior leadership team, enabling clear communication between functions
  • Able to balance strategic and operational priorities
