About the Opportunity
IMT Precision has an exciting opportunity for full-time Red Seal Millwright, Manufacturing roles, based in Ingersoll, ON. We operate on a 2-week rotating shift pattern of three shifts, which includes the day shift (7.30am to 3.30pm), afternoon shift (3.30pm to 11.30pm), and evening shift (11:30pm to 7:30am) from Monday to Friday, with premium pay for afternoon and evening shifts.

Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, you will be responsible for performing mechanical maintenance on machinery, installing, dismantling, and moving machinery and heavy equipment according to layout plans, blueprints or other drawings in a manufacturing environment.

Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Diagnosing mechanical issues and implementing innovative solutions for equipment breakdowns
  • Utilizing skills in mechanics, fitting, plumbing, basic welding, metalwork, and machining for problem-solving
  • Dismantling, assembling, installing, and relocating machinery with precision
  • Modifying, repairing, maintaining, improving, and troubleshooting various equipment in a manufacturing environment
  • Inspecting and examining machinery to detect malfunctions and irregularities
  • Conducting preventative maintenance programs in line with standards
  • Performing troubleshooting and preventative maintenance tasks
  • Recommending solutions for routine and complex equipment problems
  • Managing equipment changeovers, setups, takedowns, and relocations
  • Responding promptly and effectively to equipment issues, focusing on customer service
  • Applying comprehensive knowledge of safety standards, policies, and procedures
  • Undertaking additional duties as assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor or authorized management personnel
More About You
To qualify for this role, you must be a 433A licensed Red Seal Industrial Millwright Mechanic / Industrial Maintenance Mechanic, with 3 years of Millwright experience in a Manufacturing setting. Candidates with Press and Induction Heat system experience will be held in high regard.

Registration with the Controlled Goods Program is mandatory for any person examining, possessing or transferring controlled goods in Canada. To register with the Controlled Goods Program, you must have citizenship or permanent residency.

The following skills and experience will be strong attributes:

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematic drawings for procedural determination
  • Experience in operating CNC machines, lathes, gearboxes, heat treat equipment, and robotics
  • Proficiency in computer skills, particularly with Microsoft Outlook
  • Skilled in operating lift trucks, hoists, and using power tools for machinery installation, setup, and repair
  • Capability to follow detailed instructions and adhere to precise limits or standards of accuracy
  • Commitment to ongoing education to align with evolving manufacturing technologies and company needs
  • Willingness and ability to follow strict regulations and security protocols
  • Ability to work in environments with dirt and noise typical of manufacturing settings
  • Confidence in working at heights without fear
  • Ability to undergo a Police Information Check and Criminal Record Review Act Check
