Detailed Overview

Supporting the Vision, Values, Purpose, and Commitments of Fraser Health:

The Project Planning Leader leads, plans, coordinates, and implements assigned projects related to specialized clinical program areas; collaborates with clinical and facilities planning teams to develop transition, integration, and implementation strategies that achieve optimal outcomes.


Responsibilities

  1. Leads assigned projects related to the integration of specialized clinical program areas, including planning, implementing, evaluating, and ongoing monitoring; provides strategic advice on complex multi-stakeholder initiatives.
  2. Coordinates project management within a strategic change context; oversees the development and implementation of plans to achieve desired outcomes.
  3. Provides clinical support to develop tools and templates; utilizes best practice literature and stakeholder expertise to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.
  4. Manages day-to-day initiatives, provides progress monitoring and reporting to steering committees, and implements mitigation strategies for risks and issues.
  5. Liaises with key stakeholders to ensure critical support outcomes are achieved; facilitates resolution of any impediments.
  6. Applies change management principles to develop engagement strategies and action plans.
  7. Identifies and manages key stakeholder strategies and collaborates with Communications on communication strategies.
  8. Establishes appropriate team structures and memberships for initiatives.
  9. Assesses and articulates the impact of initiatives from a systems perspective.
  10. Assists in the development of project documentation as required.
  11. Partners with programs and departments to develop, maintain, and promote relevant goals and objectives.
  12. Participates in evaluation and refinement of tools and methods as required.

Qualifications

Education and Experience

Bachelor's Degree in Health Sciences or related field, Planning, or Business Administration.

Seven (7) years' recent related clinical operations experience, including planning and project management.

  • Ability to use a standard PC and various software applications for initiative management.
