Securitas Technology Ireland are currently recruiting for a Commissioning Engineer.

Role Purpose:

The role of the Commissioning Engineer is to support the project managers to control, deliver and commission high-end security systems to the highest industry standards. You will be responsible for ensuring the installation of each project is commissioned on time, to the required standard while complying with the client specifications and expectations. Commissioning must comply with all relevant customer, Industry, Safety and quality standards.

Specific Knowledge:
  1. 5+ years’ experience in high-end security integration
  2. Experience with CCTV, Intruder, access control
  3. Experience with enterprise systems such as Lenel On Guard, C-cure 9000 ACT enterprise desirable
  4. Professional Experience
  5. Excellent understanding of Security System design & configuration
  6. Sound knowledge of IP technology and networks
  7. Awareness of H&S regulations
  8. PC literate in MS Office Suite (including Word, Excel, Outlook)
  9. Experience in Data Centre environment
  10. Knowledge of national standards
Responsibilities:
  1. Evaluate contractual commissioning statistics and instruction guidelines in accordance with the needs of the project.
  2. Reviewing technical specifications of systems to be delivered.
  3. Manage the commissioning of systems through clear communications between all key stakeholders.
  4. Review designs, lead and supervise onsite commissioning activities.
  5. Guide testing processes and motivate engineers to achieve standard results.
  6. Assist with identification and redressal of commissioning and malfunction issues.
  7. Prepare and maintain commission records of site observations, testing processes and checklists.
  8. Outline procedures, norms, and details for writing Systems Manuals.
  9. Review progress of installations and escalate any issues to Project lead.
  10. Regular On-site visits and spot checks on quality of the installations.
  11. 1st Line support for technical issues.
  12. Capture and communicate / escalate any variations to the design or scope of works to the Project Manager.
  13. Ensure all works are completed and handover documents issued to the Project manager.
  14. QA/QC all subcontractor installation works to ensure it meets minimum standards.
  15. Excellent communication skills.
  16. Ability to work remotely or as part of a team.
