Mechanical Commissioning Engineer

Our client is a leading Main MEP Contractor working on projects in Ireland and across mainland Europe. This is an excellent opportunity to progress your career with a leading contractor. We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Mechanical Commissioning Engineer to be a vital part of our team.
As a Mechanical Commissioning Engineer, you will be responsible for assisting in leading and overseeing the commissioning process of mechanical systems across our projects. Your role will involve ensuring the successful installation, testing, and performance validation of a wide range of mechanical systems, including but not limited to:
- HVAC systems i.e. Fans, AHUs, ductwork, VAVs, and refrigerant systems.
- Life support systems such as fire smoke damper systems, hydronic pipe works systems, evaporative cooling, waste heat recovery, and building automation systems (BAS) while upholding the highest standards of quality and safety.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Proven experience in commissioning mechanical systems for industrial or commercial projects.
- Sound knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and other mechanical systems.
- Familiarity with relevant codes, standards, and safety protocols.
- Strong problem-solving skills and keen attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment.
- Effective time management skills to meet project deadlines.
- Willingness to travel occasionally for on-site commissioning activities.
