YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES MAINTENANCE LEADER:
* Organize and delegate tasks for a team of electricians and millwrights; remain active on the floor, monitoring daily operations.
* Establish and implement a preventative maintenance plan.
* Collaborate with team members on daily inspections, review reports on breaks or necessary repairs, and create action plans and work orders.
* Monitor inventory and coordinate purchase orders with parts buyer.
* Assess current processes and procedures, make recommendations and changes, and prioritize continuous improvement.
* Instill a proactive approach and daily best practices with team members.
* Facilitate shift changes; ensuring relevant details are properly communicated.
* Oversee daily, weekly and monthly equipment plans and prioritize tasks.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR IN A MAINTENANCE LEADER
* 5+ years experience in a maintenance role
* Strong technical knowledge; knows their way around equipment in a manufacturing setting
* Post-secondary education in a relevant field is an asset
* Eager, realistic, and diligent; someone who can quickly assess a situation, see what can be improved, and adapt and apply changes as necessary
* Confident and assertive in dealing with people and problem solving
* Excellent planning and strategic skills; can create and implement systems
