Sr. Software Engineer (iOS)

Rakuten Rewards is looking for a senior iOS engineer to join our rapidly growing engineering team. We’re an international team spanning across 3 continents responsible for building software used by hundreds of millions of users.

Working within a Squads structure, you will collaborate with product, design, and engineering teammates to build and maintain our next generation of iOS applications while identifying and fixing application bottlenecks, maintaining the core code, and updating applications published on the App Store.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Designing and building mobile applications for Apple’s iOS platform.
  • Collaborating with the design team to define app features.
  • Ensuring quality and performance of application to specifications.
  • Identifying potential problems and resolving application bottlenecks.
  • Fixing application bugs before final release.
  • Publishing application on App Store.
  • Maintaining the code and automation of the application.
  • Designing and implementing application updates.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Proven experience as an app developer.
  • Knowledge of iOS back-end services.
  • Knowledge of Apple’s design principles and application interface guidelines.
  • Knowledge of C-based libraries.
  • Familiarity with push notifications, APIs, and cloud messaging.
  • Experience with continuous integration.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering.
  • Proficient in Objective-C, Swift, and Cocoa Touch.
  • Proficient in code versioning tools such as GIT.
