What will you do

The Principal Data Integration Architect plays a vital role in ensuring smooth data integration, enhancing operational efficiency, enabling data-driven decision-making, and future-proofing an organization's data infrastructure.

In this role, you'll do:

  • Integration strategy and planning: Collaborate with stakeholders to define integration strategies and plans based on business requirements and existing system landscapes. This includes identifying the most suitable integration patterns, technologies, and tools to achieve seamless connectivity between systems.

  • Designing and architecting integration solutions: Responsible for designing integration solutions that incorporate data streaming capabilities. This includes analyzing business requirements, understanding the existing system landscape, and designing architectures that enable real-time data processing and streaming.

  • Middleware configuration and management: Configure and manage middleware platforms such as application servers, message brokers, ESBs (Enterprise Service Buses), and API gateways. This involves setting up configurations, monitoring performance, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring high availability.

  • Security and compliance: Ensure the security and compliance of data exchanged between systems. Implement authentication mechanisms, encryption techniques, access controls, and other security measures based on established patterns.

  • Performance optimization: Analyze system performance metrics and identify areas for improvement in terms of throughput, latency, scalability, and resource utilization. Optimize configurations to enhance overall system performance.

What you bring

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field.

  • Proven experience as a middleware architect with expertise in designing and implementing middleware solutions.

  • Strong understanding of different middleware platforms such as ESBs (IBM Websphere), message brokers (IBM MQ), File transfer technology (Sterling file Gateway), integration middleware (TIBCO Business Works), API gateways (APIM), Data stage, or data streaming platforms.

  • Knowledge of integration patterns and best practices for efficient communication between systems.

  • Experience in performance optimization, scalability, security, and compliance aspects of middleware integration projects.

  • Excellent collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

  • Strong problem-solving abilities and the ability to troubleshoot complex integration issues.

  • Good communication skills for effectively conveying technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
