ARC Business Solutions Inc. is currently seeking individuals with experience as a Tester for immediate opportunities.

ROLE: Tester

Mandatory Prior Experience:

  1. Experience gathering and managing test data, executing test plans, and recording test results
  2. Experience in working with data and data driven tests rather than user experience based ones
  3. Experience identifying testing trends and statuses, and suggesting ways to improve the testing process
  4. Experience evaluating test cycle results including logging defects and retesting as needed once system deficiencies have been addressed
  5. Experience performing root cause analysis on defects to help developers and other technical resources to resolve issues
  6. Experience identifying risks and issues that could prevent testing success
  7. Experience communicating testing activities and results to technical team members and all relevant stakeholder groups
  8. Experience working with both agile and traditional (waterfall) project delivery methodologies

Mandatory Skills:

  1. Ability to follow test plans and participate in testing activities as directed by the Test Lead
  2. Must be a self-starter with the ability to operate with little supervision in fast-paced and complex environments
  3. Strong analytical and organizational skills with the ability to manage competing demands
  4. Experience working across multiple business units and organizations
  5. 3+ years of system testing experience

Desirable Experience:

  1. Experience designing and developing automated tests that align with project objectives and tool sets, where appropriate
  2. Experience working with automated testing tools
  3. Experience in working with Engineering teams
  4. Power Utility experience
  5. OT/SCADA experience
  6. GIS experience
  7. ERP experience
  8. Application upgrade, maintenance, and replacement experience
  9. Asset Management experience

Desirable Skills and Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in computer science or related discipline or equivalent experience
  2. Relevant software testing certifications such as Certified Software Tester (CSTE), ISTQB Agile Tester Certifications or Certified Associate in Software Testing (CAST)

Degree designations (e.g., Bachelor of Science, Computing Science, Engineering), from recognized universities is a desirable criteria in our selection process.
