Corrosion Engineer III

Corrpro Canada, Inc. is looking for a Corrosion Engineer III to join our team in May or June. Corrpro, a subsidiary of Aegion Corporation, is among the world's largest corrosion engineering, cathodic protection, and corrosion monitoring business for the protection and preservation of infrastructure.

Corrpro provides professional corrosion consulting and cathodic protection engineering services to major oil companies, government agencies, municipal water, sewer and gas utilities, universities, and public transportation agencies. Corrpro has complete construction installation services, including crews and equipment to install any type of cathodic protection system for any type of structure.

Responsibilities:
  1. Plan and perform more complex engineering duties for oil and gas, utilities and public works projects.
  2. Review preliminary data, discuss objectives and expectations, and suggest appropriate engineering methods and procedures.
  3. Prepare engineering designs and reports and direct preparation of field drawings.
  4. Assist in cost estimation and detailed proposal development.
  5. Plan and schedule activities for efficient utilization of resources.
  6. Coordinate engineering aspects of installation process.
  7. Coordinate material and subcontractor procurement services.
  8. Supervise and/or perform tests required to determine environmental conditions of soil and water.
  9. Supervise and participate in post-installation survey.
  10. Coordinate interference testing and bonding required with client and affected companies.
  11. Ensure proper application of methods and procedures, modify as appropriate.
  12. Perform economic evaluations of alternative methods of cathodic protection and corrosion control.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor of Science degree with a concentration in Electrical, Chemical, Materials Engineering or related field required.
  • PEng required.
  • NACE CP Technician or Technologist Certification.
  • 5 years of corrosion experience.
  • Must have strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and problem-solving skills.
  • Must be able to mentor and lead junior team members.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license with a good standing driver's abstract.
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs., as well as walk/stand for extended periods of time.
