Overview

Develops, implements, evaluates, and participates in activities to meet clients’ activation, life skills, recreational and social needs. Assists clients with activities of daily living as required, and/or supervises staff.

Location:Millennium Tower at 1175 Broughton ST, Vancouver, BC,V6G 3K9

Status:Permanent Part Time

Hours: Mon, Tues, Wed, Thurs, Fri (1pm to 5pm)

Wage:$29.32-$30.96

Role and Responsibilities

1.Develops,implements,evaluates, communicates, andparticipatesinactivation,lifeskills,recreational,and/orsocial activities designed to meet the needs of clients, providing demonstrations as required. Adapts, communicates, and modifiesactivities (as applicable) monthly.

2.Observes clients and their environments, and reports unsafe conditions and behavioural, physical, and/or cognitive changes. Promotes client participation in activities and provides feedback regarding the performance and progress ofclients.

3.Meetswithotherserviceproviderstoassessactivityand/orclientobjectivesandgoalsandliaiseswith caregivers and families to promote clientparticipation.

4.Interviewsclientstoestablisheligibilityorappropriatenessforactivity.Refersclientstoother programs/services and provides information regarding availableresources.

5.Completesandmaintainsrelatedrecordsanddocumentationsuchasstatistics, client progressreports, activity plans, and client activityprofiles.

6.Monitorsexpenditures andassistswithrequired financialdocumentation.

7.Receives client feedback, inquiries, and complaints, and responds asrequired.

8.Performs other related duties asassigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

Typical Education, Training, and Experience

Diploma in Recreation ServiceDelivery

§Class 5 BC Driver’sLicense

§Certificates in CPR and FirstAid

§Recent, related experience of twoyears

Or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience

Or other Qualifications determined to be reasonable and relevant to the level of work
