Director, Pricing and Packaging Strategy

As the Director of Pricing and Packaging Strategy at Benevity, reporting to the Vice President of Corporate Strategy, you will develop, implement, and optimize product packaging and pricing strategies to meet customer needs and maximize revenue while ensuring market competitiveness. You will oversee comprehensive pricing operations, insights, and sales readiness initiatives. In collaboration with product management, marketing, and revenue operations, you will engage with leadership across the company to drive growth and enhance pricing strategies.
What you'll do:
- Lead and develop comprehensive pricing strategies aligned with business objectives and market dynamics
- Understand customer needs to design competitive and differentiated pricing models
- Conduct detailed pricing reviews and analyses to stay ahead of market trends and refine product positioning
- Collaborate with the Deal Desk to monitor pricing trends and measure effectiveness in real time
- Work with cross-functional teams to implement proactive strategies aligned with business goals
- Utilize data-driven insights to identify opportunities for margin improvement and pricing adjustments
- Implement pricing tools and systems to streamline processes and enhance effectiveness.
- Co-lead a cross-functional Pricing Committee to establish consistent pricing policies and governance
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements related to pricing disclosures
- Monitor pricing metrics to assess the effectiveness of strategies and initiatives
- Partner with product marketing, finance, and revenue operations to introduce new SKUs
- Communicate and train sales teams on implementing pricing strategies
- Provide thought leadership and insights on best practices in pricing strategy
- 10+ years of relevant business experience with a bachelor's degree, or 7+ years with a master's degree in product management, product marketing, business strategy, pricing, or a related field
- Experience with SaaS business models
- Proven expertise in leading pricing strategies for platform software companies with diverse products, services, and transaction revenue
- Experience with global companies utilizing both channel and direct go-to-market systems
- Deep understanding of pricing principles, methodologies, and best practices in the software industry
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate at all organizational levels
- Proven track record of working with diverse teams to define and implement critical initiatives
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis and modeling
- Ability to translate complex concepts into actionable strategies
