Location: Mississauga, ON.

Your role within the team:
  1. Perform conceptual and detailed design engineering work for new, updated and modified process systems, structures, and components.
  2. Prepare design documents for Nuclear Power Plants, e.g., Design Calculation, Design Requirements, Assessments, Technical Specifications, Drawings, Bill of Materials, and System Code Classification.
  3. Review and/or approve thermohydraulic evaluations on complex systems.
  4. Review and/or approve Engineering Quotation Request and Tender Technical Evaluations.
  5. Review and/or approve Engineering packages.
  6. Perform project lead responsibilities by directing a team comprising of professional and technical staff on a variety of tasks in design, development, procurement, manufacturing, assembly, testing, and commissioning.
  7. Ensure applicable code, standards, and regulatory requirements are met.
  8. Ensure adherence to company quality program.
  9. Ensure adherence to project delivery requirements and schedule.
  10. Mentor and/or organize mentoring of staff to maintain and improve process engineering performance and capabilities.

The ideal candidate:
  1. Registered as a Professional Engineer in Ontario.
  2. Engineering degree from an accredited University in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Nuclear Engineering, or Engineering Science.
  3. A minimum of 12 years of experience in process-system design/analysis, preferably providing design solutions for CANDU nuclear power plants or BWR/PWR markets.
  4. Experience performing heat balance and thermohydraulic evaluations.
  5. Experience in process system design and layout.
  6. Knowledge of analytical tools used for mechanical and process design (e.g. ANSYS, Mathcad, Flomaster, NUCIRC, CATHENA, or similar).
