Our client, a very successful law firm, is currently seeking a Senior Financial Business Analyst (FP&A) for their finance team This is a hybrid role in the downtown core (2 days in office).

Reporting to the Manager, Financial Analysis , the Senior Financial Business Analyst (FP&A) will provide financial reporting, forecasting, financial modeling, and financial analysis in evaluating the firm’s financial performance, and other data to support decision-making across the partnership with a view to positively impacting results.

Snapshot of the Role:
Timely and accurate collection, preparation, and analysis of data for financial reporting.
Analyzing and interpreting large volumes of data from financial systems to facilitate management reporting.
Developing financial models and forecasting to measure and report on KPI’s.
Preparation of written reports and presentations summarizing financial performance and providing insights to internal stakeholders, including senior management.
Conducting trend analysis and industry benchmarking to prepare monthly executive presentations.
Participating in BI projects to consolidate data and create BI reports and dashboards.
Strengthening relationships within finance and various stakeholders with regular communication and effective feedback.

Your Key Qualifications:
University Degree in business, commerce, finance, or accounting.
CPA designation an asset.
4+ years of experience in an FP&A/SFA role. Preference will be given to candidates who are currently working in the legal sector or in the finance group of a professional services firm.
Analytical mindset, exceptional modelling skills, deadline driven and strong attention to detail.
VBA Macros, SQL query tools, and Power BI advanced skills.
Excellent analytical, problem recognition and problem-solving skills.
Know your audience. Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to present results to various levels of leadership.
