POSITION SUMMARY
Under the supervision of the Chief Executive Officer, the Senior Director of Operations is directly responsible for planning and directing all aspects of the organization’s operational policies, objectives, and initiatives. To this end, the Senior Director of Operations will focus on the ongoing, day-to-day management of the organization’s business model and internal processes to ensure maximum productivity and funding. Reporting directly to the CEO, this individual will also provide leadership by delegating tasks to management staff, ensuring the integration of strategic plans with company operations.
REQUIREMENTS
- University degree in Business or Finance; an MBA, CPA, or CMA designation is preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years experience within a large organization in progressively more responsible positions.
- Effective leadership skills, with a strong focus on operations and business processes.
- Demonstrated ability to manage key constituent relationships, including Finance, Legal, and Human Resources.
- Able to identify key issues; creatively and strategically overcome internal challenges or obstacles.
- A clear and solid understanding of personnel policies, practices, and procedures and other operational issues faced by the organization.
- Strong knowledge of fiscal management and responsibility, business finance, capital funding, contracts, and partnerships.
- Sound understanding of risk management.
- Effective attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.
- High level of integrity, confidentiality, and accountability.
- Sound analytical thinking, planning, prioritization, and execution skills.
- A well-defined sense of diplomacy, including solid negotiation, conflict resolution, and people management skills.
- Experience creating and managing budgets for a large, distributed organization.
- Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.
