The successful candidate will be responsible for providing senior technical expertise, project leadership, and coordination of activities in the development, implementation, and maintenance of a diverse range of cost-effective I&IT solutions
This position requires extensive travel to multiple dispatch centres/CACCs across the province to provide project support and coordinate/remediate the telephony training in order to implement the new PSRN solution
Responsible for the technical expertise and coordination of administration, monitoring, management, implementation, and support of desktops, network and server environments, Ambulance Communication Centre (ACC) integrated 911 solutions such as CAD, radio, phone, GIS, and paging
The role also involves providing technical Paramedic and Ambulance Communication Officer subject matter expertise for multiple technology-related projects, including but not limited to Radio, Telecom, Satellite Systems, and Digital Voice Recording and Retrieval
Senior Systems Analyst - Mandatory Skills
5+ years of experience as a systems analyst, with experience in projects related to 24x7 critical environments and operations
They must have experience working on the PSRN project and have an understanding of emergency health services including ambulance communications
Knowledge of systems analysis and design methods, testing and implementation methods, and experience in the application of theories, principles, and practices of voice, data, radio, information technology, and satellite telecommunications engineering is a must
Senior Systems Analyst - Preferred Skills
Experience with Local Area Network and various network topologies/configurations
They should have skills in negotiation, conflict and problem resolution, change management, and project coordination
Experience with IP based telephony system such as Avaya and CTI (Computer Telephony Integration) solutions, and knowledge of current and emerging telecommunications systems technologies is highly preferred
Strong verbal and written communication skills, interpersonal and negotiation skills, and a demonstrated team player with a proven track record for meeting deadlines are preferred
