IT Security Analyst

Typical Day in Role:

  1. Review Firewall port requests on a daily basis, this will include Cloud security (GCP, Azure).
  2. Provide approvals and complete risk memos in case risk is identified.
  3. Directly reporting to the Senior Manager, Information Security Advisor.
  4. Contractor will be working closely with the Network team, Security Advisory team and Business lines.

Candidate Requirements/Must-Have skills:

  1. 10+ years of working experience as an IT Security Analyst and Networking.
  2. 5+ years of hands-on experience and strong knowledge on traffic flows and firewall requests.
  3. 5+ years of hands-on experience applying network security architecture principles.
  4. CISSP Certification is required.

Nice-To-Have Skills:

  1. Previous experience working with Algosec is an asset.
  2. Previous experience with Cloud security (GCP and Azure).
  3. CEH Certification.

Soft Skills:

  1. Excellent written, presentation, and verbal communication skills to be able to work well with technical peers and business stakeholders at different levels within the organization.
  2. Strong decision making, forward thinking and creative problem-solving skills to anticipate and respond quickly to technological/market influences.
  3. Ability to work as part of a team, as well as work independently or with minimal direction.

Education:

  1. Post-secondary degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering or related IT field required.
