Plasman, Tecumseh Manufacturing, 418 Silvercreek Industrial Drive is immediately seeking a new member to join our team as a Manufacturing Engineer. Our ideal candidate is a self-motivated team player with good communication skills and would be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:

1. Support the design, purchase, installation, and operation of all assembly equipment, including root causing assembly issues to prevent quality issues.
2. Support and implement, through cross-functional teams, continuous improvement activities throughout the plant and oversee the R&D aspects for claiming purposes.
3. Support launch activities such as run at rate, process development, and PPAP requirements.
4. Develop, implement, and improve upon cell and plant layouts, including work instructions.
5. Improve and optimize manufacturing operations through analytical studies (including time studies) of operating parameters, such as, production methods and processes on a continuous basis.
6. Analyze, through CAD & other systems, utilization, layout, workflow & shop floor inventory control and initiate appropriate activities to improve (e.g. 5s etc.).
7. Identify cost-effective improvements to equipment, error-proofing systems, and plant efficiency.
8. Work in compliance with Quality Business Operating Systems, Health and Safety, and Ergonomics standards and Environmental legislation.

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND/OR DESIGNATION REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering preferred or equivalent work experience.

MINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: Minimum of 4-5 years of experience in the manufacturing engineering environment, preferably automotive. Must have advanced knowledge and experience in the successful launching of assembly equipment as well as demonstrated ability to quote new assembly systems. Must be able to operate AutoCAD as well as 3D CAD Viewers (such as Spinfire, Spectrum, TransMagic, etc.), and Microsoft Office Products with advanced knowledge of Excel.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Must be self-driven with strong problem-solving abilities and be able to work with minimal supervision. Must have good communication skills, both written and verbal. Must be able to travel to the United States.
