Reporting to GM Maintenance Support, the Planning & Scheduling Team Lead will lead a team of maintenance planners and schedulers to best allocate maintenance resources.

What we expect of you:

  • Resources for, and leadership and management of KMC’s assets and P&S personnel with a focus on continuous improvement, safety, asset reliability, and maintenance planning;
  • Understanding of KMC’s current asset maintenance standards and best practices with an objective to work collaboratively to drive improvement.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to the team;
  • Create, compile, and analyze data, look for and identify trends, and make recommendations to drive improvement in the application of our Maintenance best practices.
  • Continuous improvement suggestions to key processes.
  • In collaboration with Maintenance leaders, assess Maintenance processes and lead continuous improvement initiatives;
  • Collaborate with appropriate stakeholders both inside and outside the organization, at various levels up to and including the President & CEO;
  • In collaboration with Reliability, conduct benchmarking and best practice studies, and recommend improvements;
  • Stay up to date with new methodologies and processes.

Ideally, you will have:

  • Journeyperson trade certified (HET, Elec, Weld)
  • Degree or Diploma in Engineering; Not required but would be considered an asset.
  • 7-10 Years experience in the mining industry;
  • 5 years of leadership experience leading a team(s) of direct reports.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
  • Expert comprehension and command of the English language; (written & verbal);
  • Advanced computer literacy with specific knowledge of Microsoft 365;
  • Ability to travel to project sites when required;
  • Demonstrated ability to positively manage a team

Required duties may be assigned that fall within the parameters of the primary responsibility of the position.
