A fantastic opportunity is available to join our busy Site Team as a Tractor Driver and Farm Hand. To become a permanent part of an iconic Cornish business and to make your mark in this exciting role, please continue reading.


As Tractor Driver and Farm Hand, you will be responsible for ensuring all vehicles and equipment/tools are maintained and ready to go at all times and fully compliant with health and safety requirements. You will also ensure animals' care and welfare at all times.


Duties & Responsibilities
  1. Responsible for ensuring all vehicles, agricultural/industrial vehicles, machinery, and tools are maintained, cleaned, and checked that they are safe and ready for use at all times.
  2. Daily/weekly/monthly checks on all agricultural vehicle checks.
  3. Regular maintenance and completion of equipment and vehicle logs.
  4. Maintain gates and fences on the farm grounds and animal enclosures.
  5. As an experienced and qualified tractor driver, you will be on call for various telehandler and tractor duties which arise across all sites including harvesting, hedge trimming, mowing, and any other tractor jobs which arise at either farm.
  6. Feeding and providing all farm animals with water, fresh hay, and straw.
  7. Cleaning out pens and enclosures to a high standard.
  8. Ensuring the physical wellbeing of all the animals on the farm.
  9. Adhere to regulations concerning birds and animals and movement of animals including safe movement of animals from one area of the farm to another.
  10. All paperwork for animals to be kept up to date including diaries, passports, and movement forms.
  11. Support the Visitor Centre as an “on-call” tractor driver when required for all tours.
  12. Assisting the Site Team in maintaining the condition of the farm buildings and other maintenance work across the farm.
  13. Ensure the farm is kept clean, safe, and tidy.
  14. That the goals and objectives of the company are achieved by assisting in providing a preventative maintenance system for all areas of Healeys Cyder Farm.
  15. Assist in maintenance work as required.
  16. General appearance of site, litter picking, etc., ensuring site is clean, safe, and tidy.
  17. Keep workshop tidy and ensure proper storage of tools and equipment.
