Join our dynamic team as we seek a seasoned Health and Safety Specialist with over 10 years of experience, specializing in the light industrial and construction sectors. As a leader in this role, you'll bring extensive expertise in claims management, team leadership, and a steadfast commitment to ensuring the highest standards of health and safety across all operations.

Additionally, possession of CRSP certification or active pursuit thereof is considered a significant asset, demonstrating a commitment to professional development and industry best practices.

Moreover, we're seeking a candidate with exceptional interpersonal skills, capable of engaging effectively with diverse business levels and departments. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a proven ability to collaborate with experienced groups, fostering consensus and driving forward initiatives that promote a culture of safety excellence throughout the organization. Given the complexity and critical nature of our operations, this role is ideally suited for a seasoned professional whose extensive experience will be instrumental in navigating health and safety standards in the workplace.

Responsibilities
As a Health and Safety Specialist, your responsibilities include

-Provide comprehensive health and safety support and guidance to operational teams.
-Ensure ongoing compliance with current safety regulations and local/federal standards.
-Oversee employee safety and health to enhance the company's workplace safety performance continuously.
-Monitor and report on facility safety and health metrics.
-Execute all safety and health programs through the Health and Safety Management System.
-Manage workplace claims and injuries effectively.
-Cultivate consensus and understanding among employees regarding health and safety protocols.
-Collaborate with diverse business levels and departments such as operations, production, and maintenance.

Qualifications
As a Health and Safety Specialist, you should qualify below

-Possess a post-secondary education in Occupational Health and Safety.
-Bring a minimum of 10 years of relevant safety experience to the table.
-Hold or be in pursuit of a CRSP designation.
-Demonstrate proficiency in handling claims.
-Exhibit strong communication skills.
-Show capability in engaging with stakeholders across various business levels.
-Have intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
-Showcase a track record of coaching and educating employees on health and safety standards.
